Now Able Spacer incorporates the latest features to improve patient experience. ANTI-MICROBIAL SPACER AND MASK Inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi Able Spacer and Mask are manufactured from a special polymer that incorporates silver ions, which inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. Research has demonstrated that microbes will opportunistically establish colonies inside spacer devices. CCI’s own research has shown that under certain circumstances drug residues may encourage the growth of certain bacteria. Regular washing of spacers is very important. The polymer is free from latex, phthalates and BPA. LOW-STATIC SPACER AND MASK Reduces static properties Able Spacer and Mask are manufactured from a low-static ABS polymer. The component parts are protected from static in manufacture and supplied in anti-static bags. Static in chambers can reduce drug delivery and measures that reduce static are important, especially detergent washing (see instructions). See features below.
